The Opportunity
169 acres at 9400 SW 130th Avenue in Kendall — a closed golf course locked by a restrictive covenant for over a decade, surrounded by affluent communities with no access to new product. The land had value. It had no structure and no path forward.
Our Role.
Assembled the joint venture between GL Homes and Facundo Bacardi, negotiated the partnership terms, and led the covenant removal process before the Miami-Dade County Commission — carrying the vote 9 to 3 and clearing the only obstacle between 169 acres and an approved master plan.
The outcome.
550 homes approved across 169 acres — 3,084 to 5,108 square feet, with multiple lakes, a 75-foot green space buffer, and a 5-acre recreation area.
